Victory Requires Allies and Enemies

Be aware that you’ll never please everyone and neither should you try.

There will always be people attempting to pull you down, break you down, and wanting you to fail.

Stay focused, determined, and remember you’re on fire and they are the fuel.

My best motivation comes from people doubting me, denying my, and trying to put out my fire. Little do they know, instead of being water on the fire, they cause the burning desire for greatness to ignite.

I love it when people underestimate me, laugh at my dreams and goals, or tell me I’m not good enough.

Their words and actions drive me to deeper dedication and determination.

I had a former coach who belittled me in his “encouraging” way. It was covered by his “because I care about you’ statements which couldn’t have been more of a lie.

He would try to embarrass me in front of audiences – friends, girls, teachers. It scarred me and began fueling me with resentment but it turned to fuel.

Today, focus on your mission and know there will always be allies and enemies.

It takes both allies and enemies to be in and win a war, often they look and sound the same.

You’ll know your allies by their actions not by their similar dress or words.

Stay true to you, stay focused on your goals, and always do right in God’s eyes by loving and adding value to others.
